How do I get to the Skeena Heliskiing?

We are located only 3 hours from Vancouver and 4 hours Calgary! Flights are available from Vancouver or Calgary International Airports directly into Smithers. From here you are collected by our shuttle for the 1½ hr drive to our exclusive world class lodge.

We recommend that you arrive in Smithers on the Thursday evening and stay overnight at the Hudsons Bay Lodge in Smithers(They provide airport shuttles for free) and we will pick you up at the hotel on Friday morning. This way you will arrive early at Skeena Heliskiing and so that you can get an additional ½ day of skiing in.

Alternatively, you can be picked up by helicopter from Smithers Airport and flown directly to “The Cliff’s at Kispiox”. Flying time I approximately 15 minutes.  Please contact us if you prefer Helicopter pick-up. Additional expenses are incurred for transport via helicopter.

If you wish to have a hire car for your stay, or an organized transfer package we can help arrange this.

The Skeena Heliskiing area is approx. 8500 km2, making it the 2nd largest Heliskiing area in Canada.

The Skeena Mountain range has a huge diversity of terrain, from the high vertical slopes with extreme steeps to  powder bowls with pillows and shoots as well as sweeping glades and an abundance of tree skiing providing more Heliskiing opportunities during bad weather periods.  Through Skeena’s geographical location and diversity of terrain, we consistently enjoy one of the lowest number of down days in the industry. So our clients ski more.

The closest run is a 6 minute flight. However most of our skiing occurs within a 15 minute flight radius from the lodge. Weather and snow conditions typically dictate where we ski.
