| Getting there
and back |
Getting to the Skeena Heliskiing is much
easier than you probably imagine. In order not to miss
the flight from Vancouver to Smithers we recommend that
all international guests spend a evening in Vancouver.
This avoids disappointment or unnecessary stress if your
flight is delayed.
If choosing the all inclusive package, we have arranged for your stay at the Fairmont
Vancouver Airport Hotel located at Vancouver International Airport.
If you are planning on taking in the sights and sounds
the centrally located Fairmont Waterfront Hotel is our recommendation.
Whatever your preference, in 1.5 hours you will arrive
in Smithers, British Columbia via Air Canada. This small community of
5500 people is situated in the middle of a vast mountainous
wilderness in Northwestern B.C.
The Bear Claw Lodge, which is our home base, is a 1.5
hour drive from Smithers. You will be accompanied by an
escort to the lodge tucked away in the further reaches
of Canada’s North.
Transfers from Smithers Airport to Bear Claw Lodge, on any other day apart from Wednesday and Friday mornings will incure a cost of $120.00 per person one way. |

| Fitness |
| Physical training
and preparation for your ski session should start a couple
of months in advance. Good physical preparation is essential
in order to enjoy your time with us in the mountains and
is extremely beneficial in diminishing the possibility
of injury. |
| Ski
Boots |
| Make sure your
boots are comfortable and have been fit before you arrive
at our remote mountain lodge. If you have new ski boots
make sure you have used them for a full day at your ski
hill and that they are comfortable. It is strongly
recommended that you bring your ski boots as
carry on luggage. Well fitting ski boots are irreplaceable! |
